So, what is life without internet access??? My word- devastating to say the least. I have become so dependent on this technology and can still remember the day there was NONE!
I had to write letters, even to my parents when i was being schooled away from home, just to ask for money! lol! And back in the day, I had a penpal in Canada.....and waiting for her letter was soooooo exciting.
Oh and what about the real Christmas and birthday cards we used to receive....the more cards a person got, the more one placed them on display! lol! Now.....nothing to brag about- no card to display from the secret admirer and the boyfriend so other girls can feel jealous..........hahahahaha! Those were the days.
Now, when we run out of data bundles and airtime.....life is so mundane and we feel so disconnected! Gee times have really changed.
But at least we don't have to wait on a letter for 3 months or a call that cost a hell of a lot of money- nope, we can text, email, chat, blog and messenger. Real Time! No delay.....
So why am I writing this....oh I was without internet and felt totally disconnected.....not a very good feeling. But I had to get over it! Not sure if I am back.....still waiting on a more permanent and secure ADSL connection so that I can enjoy unlimited, access to real time information from the WHOLE WORLD!
